Multi-million grant for producing blood stem cells in the lab

We are incredibly excited and proud of a group of our co-workers at Sanquin, who applied for a multi-million grant to extend and secure a future for the research into blood stem cell creation from iPSCs that is currently being conducted in our consortium. Congratulations to Gerald de Haan and his lab, consisting of Arthur Svendsen, Edurne Solabarrieta Larrañaga, Liza Dijkhuis and Helena Kooi for doing the most and consistently working to find ways to make new treatment options for patients dependent on transfusion and stem cell transplantations!
